School Improvement Plan 2008 - 2010

Improve Community Cohesion within and beyond school

  • Build upon existing links with the Tile Hill Stakeholders group, also develop a new positive relationship with the Tile Hill Residents Association
  • School to be involved in Community Events, eg; Carols in the Crescent, Community Open Day
  • To establish a school Parent Council to involve parents in children’s learning
  • School to be involved in new Community Action Conference and follow through on proposals
  • Continue to develop work on challenging homophobia
  • Develop Car Park and School Entrance to enable easier access
  • Lead the school and community on developing a new resource for all Coventry Schools on tackling racism
  • Children involved in developing business models for running a market stall
  • Develop extended services within the school

Raise standards of attainment in Early Years Foundation Stage

  • Ensure children make significant progress against Foundation Stage Profile
  • Adapt present practice to meet needs of EYFS
  • Build relationships with parents
  • Develop staff’s understanding of independent learning
  • Continue to improve provision in line with ECKERS guidelines
